MUST  Upsizing to SQL Server + WEB FAQ Page

Questions That Garry Robinson and Andy Couch Have Been Asked

Q. Have you got an explanation on how the MUST+Web works?

A. Why not Read a case study on upgrading Access to Visual Studio

Q. I am very interested in your MUST+Web product which upsizes an Access database to SQL Server, but even more so in the version which also converts UI elements to ASP.NET elements.  Where do most people tend to start when they purchase the product.

A. It’s a 2-3 stage process, you need the complete backend SQL data and Stored procedures and Views solution before you can make headway on the .NET Web form.  The +SQL component is very accurate at this step and most buyers start with this product.

Q. I would very much like to see some results of this process, or at least a limited demo version before deciding to invest in the product.  I already tried downloading the trial version, but it apparently is only the upsizer module, without the .NET web conversion capability.  Perhaps I missed something on the site, but I looked fairly thoroughly and could not locate what I wanted. ?

A. You are quite correct in that we do not presently have a demo version of MUST+Web for your database. This is because in order to use MUST+WEB you require a full translation of all SQL which requires a FULL MUST+SQL License.

We are able to offer licensed users of MUST+SQL a full trial licenses of MUST+WEB and an option to upgrade for the price difference in the products.

If you look at the following address you will see a demonstration of the resulting conversion of Northwind to .NET WebForms.       www.upsizingdemo.co.uk

q. Do you have a full list of the features of MUST+Web

The following link describes the features in MUST+WEB

Q. Do you have any other resources on  .NET conversion.

Yes we do here

Q. I cannot use the Full Data Auditing FDA in the trial version of MUST+Web, why not ?

A. None of the demo systems fully activate Full Database Auditing, this is only really available in the full product, so demo support is very limited it won’t switch the feature on but will create the auditing tables.   Below is the FDA menu. Press F10 for the main menus and you will see this is available.

The web site has some information on the following link.

Q. Do you have any incentives to make the purchase more popular with my boss.  Also how do we know that we can trust your online purchasing website ?

A. When you purchase from GR-FX, we do not provide the ordering tools but rather defer to either the huge Digital River software sales website provided by SWREG or PayPal, you will also receive a free copy of one of Garry's popular Access products
