Next Tip  Access and Excel Data Entry Keyboard Tips

Following are my favourite data entry tips.  Try setting up a form with these and other tips and copy it into your new databases to offer some immediate productivity for your software.  Have a button on your data entry forms to fire it up.

Press the   CTRL and  "    keys at the same time to copy down the data from the same field in the record above.
 



Press the CTRL  and  +   keys at the same time to finish entry on the current line and commence entry on a new record
 


When entering dates, try the  12 5 
(12 space 5) for 12 May in the current year. 


Press the CTRL  and  :   keys at the same time to enter the current date into the field.
