If you want to add a calendar control to a text field in Access 2007+, it will automatically appear for any date field.
To turn it off, find the Show Date Picker property of the text field.
If you want to add the Calendar Control for a unbound text field, set the format of the field to "General Date" and set the Show Date Picker property to True.
