Bad ADP Connections - Moving ADP's Between Machines

If you open an ADP and the first message you get is

 

Microsoft Data Link Error
 
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

or

Microsoft Data Link Error
 
Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider. [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. 

This means the server isn't working or you have moved the ADP front-end between machines and the server name is different.

To Solve - OR - Simply Setup Your Correct Connection

Choose File then Connection as in Figure 2.

Then enter the Correct Name of the Server

Test Your Connection and Your Database Should Work Fine
