Produced by Garry Robinson (known below as "Ed") from Sydney, Australia.

< Stop Those Annoying Outlook Warning Messages >

One of the more difficult things to cope with when programming for Microsoft Outlook is the security messages that pop up to stop the boring email spammers. The ones that you may be familiar with are

"A program is trying to automatically trying to send e-mail messages on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?"

or "A program is trying to automatically access email address that you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?"

This article shows you a tool to help you solve this and also shows how to put the code into an Access database.

< Our VB123 News Feed >

The news feed at vb123.com appears to be getting quite popular and is probably the only independent Access related feed going around at the moment. Let me know if you use any others.

Handy Hint: If you happen to use the Firefox browser and you know the URL of a site's RSS feed (url ends with .rdf or .xml), you can manually create a Live Bookmark for the site. Go to the Bookmarks menu and select 'Manage Bookmarks'. Under the 'File Menu', select 'New Live Bookmark'. Create a name for the Live Bookmark and add the URL. New articles from that site will now appear as Live Bookmarks.

Note: The latest versions of The Toolbox and The Workbench have links to html versions of the vb123.com RSS news feed.

< ADVERTISEMENT ~ Add help to your Microsoft Access application >

< How To Advertise on VB123.com >

One way to ensure that your product is advertised to an audience that loves Access content is to advertise with vb123.com. The easy way to do this and remain anonymous is to use Google as follows.

"Go to the bottom Left Hand Side of any page of vb123.com and you will see a list of advertisements. Now choose the small link that says "advertise on this site". This will allow you to target our site.

The other way to advertise is to contact Garry using the feedback page in this newsletter and we will see how to best promote your product.

< WRAPPING THIS EDITION UP >

During the month I was buoyed by the number of people who made the effort to subscribe to the business edition of this magazine. As a result you should continue to see this magazine on a regular basis for a while yet. I also will provide the business readers with a little bit more content than the free readers will receive. I imagine you will all see that as being a good thing. But enough chat, have a great New Year wherever you are...

So thanks for reading our popular newsletter.  Feel free to make comments, copy the email to a friend or maybe even contribute to the next edition. And if you can, have a look at our software by using the Marketing section on the left hand side of this newsletter. If you really like this newsletter, why not purchase The Toolbox and you will get all the other newsletters and plenty more in a developer’s knowledge base tool with super searching facilities.
